Covering over 4000 sq. ft. this exhibition matched the period photographic works of John Thompson, on loan from the Welcome Institute in London, with the exquisite costumes, paintings, scrolls and artifacts from the University of Alberta Mactaggart Art  Collection. The exhibition was curated by John Vollmer (he also constructed the child figures playing with the toy elephant). All images © Mactaggart Art Collection, University of Alberta Museums.
